Section Description

The Stock Group file represents groups used for categorization of the items in the Stock file. The stock groups must have codes of only one character long.

The main use of the Stock Groups is to generate a prefix for a stock item's part number (item number). For example, "YOGHURT, APRICOT, BROWNES, 200G' might have an item number of D00026 because it is in the D stock group which is DAIRY PRODUCTS.

  3. Enter the description. Upper case is forced. Be descriptive with the types of stock the group will be containing.
  4. Enter the budget allowed for that particular stock group.
