Section Description

The teacher file contains the list of teachers in the department and their codes. It provides facilities with which you can add new teachers, edit the names of current teachers and delete teachers if required. You can also view a teacher report.

Steps



To get to the Teacher File
To get to the Teacher File, select the File menu and select Teachers, or click on the Teacher button on the navigator.



Adding a Teacher
To add a new teacher:
  1. Click on the New button on the database navigator, and all of the fields shown will blank out.
  2. Enter the name of the teacher in the teacher field.
  3. Click on the Save button in the bottom of the window to save changes. The code will be automatically generated. Clicking Cancel will cancel all changes.


Editing Teacher Data
To edit the name of an existing teacher:
  1. Locate the record to edit by using List or Search (see Searching (Lookups)).
  2. Alter the name of the teacher.
  3. Click on the Save button to save changes. Clicking Cancel will cancel all changes.
Deleting a Teacher
To delete an existing teacher:
  1. Locate the record to delete by using the List or Search (see Searching (Lookups)).
  2. Click on the Delete button to delete the item. Click OK when asked if you wish to delete.


Reports

To view a report of teachers and teacher codes, click on the Reports tab located at the top left of the teacher screen then click on Preview or Print.
